19/06/2014 "The Curious Country"
Recently I came across an interesting book called "The Curious Country", published by the Australian Office of the Chief Scientist, and edited by the well known science writer Leigh Dayton.
"The Curious Country" is a thorough, diverse and balanced guide to science in Australia and, in 26 essays, it addresses a broad spectrum of topics including human induced climate change. A number of essays in this book, even those not addressing climate change, outline the presence of challenges that will require current and future action.
To gain some understanding of the challenges we face, it is recommended that you read this book. All the essays are aimed at the interested reader who does not necessarily have a science background.
Now for the best part: this excellent book is available as a free PDF.
