Meeting - "Western Grasslands reserves. DSE's vision for their management".

Meeting - Pulse grazing of goats as weed management.

Thurs 18th - Botany Group.
Meeting - Saltmarsh and estuary vegetation of Victoria, with reference to Mud Islands.

Sun 21st - Botany Group.
Excursion
- 10am, The Inlets Waterway Reserve, Koo Wee Rup, 5.2 km past Tooradin. South Gippsland Highway, 40 m immediately after Cardinia Creek bridge (which has a sign), turn left onto vehicle track and park car on grass in front of gate. Bring gum boots Leader: Jeff Yugovic. Contact: Sue Bendel.

Meeting - The orchids of north-east Melbourne.

Sun 18th - Botany Group.
Excursion
- Orchids with Paul Piko. 11am until 1pm Ironbark Road reserve, Diamond Creek. Numbers are limited to 12 to avoid site impact, booking are essential. Contact: Sue Bendel.

Thurs 19th - Botany Group.
Meeting - Get to know our eucalypts - an identification workshop. 7.45pm start.
Speaker: Leon Costerman, suitable for novices and those with some experience, bring 'Trees of Victoria' 5th/6th edition if possible. Limited numbers. booking essential. Contact: Sue Bendel.

Sun 22nd - Botany Group.
Excursion
- 9.45am to 3.45pm, Leader: Leon Costerman, carpool, take lunch. Excursion will visit several sites, finishing at Warrandyte. Limited numbers, booking essential. Contact: Sue Bendel.

The Botany Group meets on the third Thursday of each month at the FNCV's meeting rooms and has a group excursion the following weekend. The group has approximately ninety members with interests ranging from invasive plants, marine algae, fungi, threatened species, bryophytes, ferns and flowering plants.
